Udio vs IronSound, in plain answers
What is IronSound?
IronSound is a private AI song studio. One prompt becomes a file you can keep: vocals and lyrics, the mix as MP3 or studio WAV, and a per-song license, plus stems and a streaming master on full songs and studio WAVs (not 30-second clips).
How much does one song cost on IronSound?
Signup includes 10 free credits. A full song costs 10 credits, a 30-second clip costs 1 credit, and a studio WAV master costs 20 credits. Credit packs are one-time purchases: 50 credits for $5, 200 credits for $15, and 500 credits for $30.
What files do I get for each song?
The mix (MP3 or studio WAV) and a license.txt, all private to your library, plus stems and a streaming master on full songs and studio WAVs (not 30-second clips). Vocals and drums are separated from the mix; bass and other are derived reference tracks, not separated stems.
Can I use IronSound songs commercially?
You may use songs you generate, including commercially, under the per-song license. Full songs are made with YuE2-3B, self-hosted on IronSound-operated servers, when that engine is available; otherwise they fall back to Google Lyria 3.5. 30-second clips use Google Lyria 3 Clip, and studio WAV masters use Google Lyria 3.5. Lyria output carries an inaudible Google SynthID watermark; YuE2-3B output does not. Each song's license file names the engine that made it. Lyria tracks are also subject to Google Gemini paid API terms. Do not clone a specific artist's voice, submit copyrighted lyrics you do not own, or generate content that violates applicable law.
How is IronSound different from Udio?
Udio has its own plans, terms, and sharing features. Check their site for current features. IronSound has no public feed: a private library, credits instead of a subscription, and files you keep.
